The process will be to mill down the top ridge of the piston by 3mm. This is how the guys in sweden do there 16v B230s. There is no problem with this method, there are plenty of people stateside that have done this as well with very good results. The theory behind this also is that it will actually create a better combustion chamber as opposed to getting reliefs cut which in some cases may cause a hot spot.
