Another mess... uh, weer een berichtje terug..
"Ray:
If I'm reading the number right, the distance between the A arm pivots is 40,5 cm
This is good as the distance between the mounting bolts on the 240 rack is around 30 cm
On the 1800 it turned out that the mounting width before cutting out the 4 inches of the rack, was wider than the distance between the A arm pivots.
After cutting the rack down the mounting holes turned out to be almost the same as the location of the A arm pivots, which made it difficult to mount.
If that 40,5 cm measurement is correct then the steering column shaft is around 10 cm towards the center of the car, hopefully that will clear the suspension and frame of the car.
I was looking into putting vented 240 rotors on the 1800 and picked up 140 spindles and found the length of the arm that the tie rod end connects to is longer than the 1800. This may enable you to get the 240 rack so that the rack is behind those arms or at least closer to then on my 1800.
The distance between the centers of the outer tie rod ends where they connect to the spindles is around 130 cm so the rack may connect without any modifications, such as shortening the inner tie rods.
On the 1800 I found the 240 manual rack gear ratio was nice, in that it made the 1800 easier to steer. If you don't have to modify the rack its self you may even be able to use a power rack!
Good luck, keep me informed on how this is going.

Het lijkt zo handig, dus vraag ik me af waarom er 5 kantjes op TurboBricks staan en geen oplossing, of het is gewoon niet geprobeert...
Dit is trouwens wat ik hem vanmiddag gestuurd heb..
