The 93's got the hefty knee bolsters under the dash, which largely precludes getting to the back of the dash easily, so they added the little button on the face of the cluster. The 'button' is really one end of a little lever system that pushes the switch on another area of the cluster, which is why it has the unusual (for a supposed little electircal switch) travel.
