Greetings to my fellow Volvo 240 enthusiasts in the Netherlands.
A question was asked on Turbobricks for the GrpA injector part number. I thought that I would ask here, hoping that someone here would know the number.
The B21FTs used the 0 437 502 015.
The B21ETs used the 0 437 502 020.
But, what was the Bosch part number for the "gold injectors" used in the GrpA cars?
Nobody over here knows the answer.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Thomas Fritz

I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that the injectors are the same as the ones that were used on a Porsche 928? I could be very wrong tho

here's what I've found:
Citaat:Injectors: Group A (Bosch 'Gold' injectors, (mechanical), 530 ml/min on 1, 2 and 4th cylinder, 580 ml/min on the 3 cylinder), (magnetic valves on 2 & 3rd injector to serve as a antispin system - cuts fuel when spining)

here
and
this may be usefull as well 8)

Thanks for the replies.
I'll have to find some info on the 928 injectors to see if they were rated for the 530/580 ml/min range of fuel flow.
Some over here think that the 'gold' injectors may be a reference to the brass injectors used for some Mercedes Benz applications.
PP, thanks for the links. That second listing is for solenoid injectors used in EFI systems. A nice listing, but not applicable to the mechanical injectors. I'll keep that as a source of flow ratings for the solenoid type injectors.
It looks like I will need to find a listing of the CIS injectors that includes the flow rating in cc/min or ml/min. I think that the GrpA injectors were injectors from another application, such as Porsche or Mercedes Benz, rather than injectors made specially just for the GrpA engines. From a cost saving standpoint, it would make sense to use injectors already available that have the flow ratings needed, rather than having special ones built.
Does anyone have such a listing of CIS [Kjet] injectors?
Thanks,
TF

Citaat:LATEST DESIGN - 'R' Injectors
Info from JP Styling Web Page http://www.volvonet.org/tpc/performance.html
There is a very popular modification among Volvo engine tuners in Sweden; blue "R" injectors. These injectors are used on Volvos high output engines, such as S60T5. We have tested these on B200 & B230ET/FT engines with Motronic and LH Jectronic injections with great results. They flow 391cc/min and are good enough for over 300 horsepower. Could be good with an aftermarket ECU.

Thanks again, PP, for the info.
To update things a bit, and to put things to rest for now: The guy who asked for the GrpA injector part number is taking a different path right now. He is going to have some of the stock 015 injectors tested by an injector service outfit, and then have some of the Mercedes Benz injectors tested and measured as well. He will figure out which injectors he wants to use by going that route.
What I will be doing is to obtain some literature with info and specs for the various Kjet equipped Porsches, MBs, and others, to find out which systems ran at higher line pressures than my B21FT does. I'll test some of those injectors to see if they will do what I want, and proceed.
I am not really interested in getting rid of my Kjet. I like Kjet. I do believe that there are ways to increase the capability of the system for when I build a new motor and go for higher horsepower.
I like LH 2.4, but I'll keep the Kjet on my B21FT.
Thanks for the replies and help.
