Over het waar te zoeken/vinden blijft het vaag:
240 (rear wheel drive) - The ALD was introduced in 1993, the final year of 240 production, as a factory installed option.
Reportably fitted to the '240 Polar' but for a typical 1993 240 it may not be fitted.
740 - In 1993 the 740 (rear wheel drive) was replaced by the new model 940 (rear wheel drive).
940 had ALD fitted to the 1041 diff with a standard solid axle. The 960 had a ALD on the 1045 Multilink IRS (independant rear suspension). Later in 1996, the 960 had the 1065 on the Multilink MkII (nil on 1055).

How to tell if the junkyard Volvo has an LSD ? - first indicator to look for is a small metal tag (Use LSD oil) attached to a bolt on the diff cover. To mechanically check, you need to jack the whole rear end of the car up so both rear wheels are just off the ground. Rotate a wheel by hand looking whilst looking at the other wheels rotation. If both wheels rotate in the same direction its an LSD, if they rotate opposite each other its standard.
For a running car, you can just do a short quick wheel spin in the dirt and then check for two equal tyre/tire marks.

Ik kan me voorstellen dat ze pakembeet op de Zwitserse markt meer interesse hadden in netjes wegrijden bergop of over sneeuw, import Volvo's lijken me een goed begin.

Toevallig, dit is het onderdeelnummer van de ALD 3,54:1 as: http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/produc...16358.html en als je onder Product Fitment kijkt zie je 28 modellen. Alle 940's van 91 t/m 98, hmm, dat lijkt me stug.

ik zoek gewoon elke dag een vast lijstje op marktplaats en heb daarbij al meerdere leuke dingen voor een 240 gevonden.
Elke ochtend en avond zoek ik:
- Volvo 240
- Volvo 242
- Volvo 244
- Volvo 245
- Volvo Velgen
- Volvo 16v
- Volvo 740
- Volvo 940
- G80
- Volvo Turbo
- 5x108

Is gewoon het standaard formulier in de marktplaats app, kijk ik elke ochtend bij het wakker worden en elke middag/avond. Dingen die ik zo gekocht heb:
- Volvo Hybride sper-as (Cherokee LSD met Volvo asbuizen)
- 2x Snowcap (Voor de 245 en 242)
- G80 Locker voor 1031 as
- Volvo 50mm Toerenteller (voor 20 euro)
- Nieuw Volvo logo (bignose grille)
- B230FK motor (compleet, voor nog geen 100 euro)
- 940 Turbo sloper (96 model, voor weinig geld)

Sommige dingen zijn wat lastiger dan andere te vinden, maar 9 van de 10 keer is het gewoon er snel bij zijn en niet wachten.

Als je specifiek op zoek gaat, is het ook duurder. Als het voorbij komt vaak wat minder (ik dacht dat onze G80 met nieuwe lagers voor 100 euro had gekocht, of 120).

Ik heb nog van alles (bijv. b204FT, Nathaninwa 8v shorty header met wastegate, gereinigde 480cc injectoren). Maar ik laat eerst de koper van de LSD kijken.

Tja het kan zijn dat jij 1000 euro voor een deeltje niet veel vind maar ik vind van wel.
En dan moet het er nog in dus nieuwe olie is dan wel handig plus pakking en wie weet wat je dan nog tegen komt he.
Meestal komt er weer meer bij kijken.

Als jij een Volvo 240 speras voor 1000 ziet, moet je hem sowieso niet kopen want ze gaan voor 250 tot 450 euro weg, afhankelijk van de staat.

Volvo rijders zijn wel een beetje verwend qua prijzen vind ik. Alleen de unieke(re) onderdelen kosten veel geld(polaris velgen, r-sport clusters, speaker tellerhouder, etc

Voor de rest valt het allemaal wel mee, zeker als je het vergelijkt met andere klassiekers en youngtimers.
