Voor relatief simpele carburateurs (Pierburg, Stromberg) en verdelers moet je richting de B21A en B23A tot 1984. Latere carbs (Solex Cisac) werden erg ingewikkelde apparaten behalve die van de B230A (Pierburg). Dit blok zit ook in de 740 serie tot 1988.
