Hello Volvo drivers!
Sorry, that I write in english, but my dutch isn't very good :ohwell:
My name is Frorian and I come from Germany, near Köln (Cologne).
For the next summer holidays, or even longer, I am searching for a white, beige or silver 245 to pull my caravan to the coast of France, Italy, or somewhere else, where the sun is shining, around the years 1980-1990 in good condition.
It shouldn't have too much rust and engine should run well.
The best would be a car that drives on gasoline, if the condition is really good, or the car older than 30 years, a diesel could be interesting, too.
Do you have anything for me?
I would be happy to read from you with some pictures and your imagined price: athos(point)vhund(at)googlemail.com
Thanks a lot and best regards
Florian

You mean petrol or benzin?
Volvo 245s on diesel are the cheapest in Holland at the moment, if there are still any left...

Hey henqui,
I mean the opposite of Diesel: B230X, etc. but I didn't remeber the correct word...
What do you mean
Citaat:Volvo 245s on diesel are the cheapest in Holland at the moment
?
The price of the car, or the taxes?
I heared, you had an awful change in your regulation about oldtimer, or something like that?

Petrol then.
Yeah tax regulations changed. Until 31st of dec 2013 cars onder than 25 years were taxfree. Nowadays only petrol cars before 1987 are in reduced tax and only with petrol engines. Other than petrol has to be older than 40 years. With ridiculously high taxes an old Volvo worth it. So look for late 80s early 90s models. They'll be cheaper.

Hi Florian,
Quite obviously you're not Dutch. Of course no problem there but you might have to investigate all the tax (and insurance!) regulations. For instance those tax regulations only go for cars with a Dutch registration of which the owner has his or her official domicile in the Netherlands. So be careful and don't get fooled by all those car ads mentioning "belastingvrij" and "oldtimerverzekering!
Take care & good luck!

Thank's a lot for the answers until now.
For me the Diesel older than or nearly 30 years old would be interesting, because we have the regulation, that the german taxes are lower.
On Petrol it is nearly eaqual: the engine before B230F are nearly 30 years old, so they are cheaper here and the B230F is absolutely no problem.
The biggest point is the "Vollabnahme" when I import the car to Germany.
The german TÃV looks completely after, in and around the car, whether it's safe to drive... that's the reason, it has to be in good condition, so I won't burn too much money...

You better buy a Polar or gle from the early 90s and go for the b230f.
They will be the easiest importing to Germany I guess...
